The Bonfire Choir began as friendship. As friendship became roommate-ship, and roommate-ship led to passing long hours together, an organic sound began to thud back and forth through the sheetrock. Six years and several band names later, that sound is now a refined rawness, a train beat with a funk bass line, a force of nature they like to call Texas Stomp. It's Country Funk with American Blues Rock. Drawing inspiration from the likes of The Band, The Dead, Ryan Bingham and King Sunny Ade, The Bonfire Choir arms itself with a banjo, trumpets, and harmonicas on top of a standard rock instrumentation. These guys know how to meet up at the meat down.
